TOBERMORY, Ont. -- A group of 15 teenagers reported missing during a hiking trip near Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula has been found.

The 16- and 17-year-olds were part of an Algonquin hiking experience through their school (Saint David Catholic Secondary School) in Waterloo.

They became separated from the main group around 5 p.m. on Thursday and police were called after attempts to find them were unsuccessful.

Provincial police officers from the Bruce Peninsula detachment and Emergency Response Team spent much of the night searching the area of Bruce Peninsula National Park.

But police say the group was found just after 5:30 a.m. this morning near a cabin on the Bruce trail.

The teens are reported to be OK but cold. Police had said earlier that the emphasis of the trip was on survival and outback camping.
