Tim Hortons surprised a southwest Calgary neighbourhood on Tuesday morning by turning a residential home into a full-service coffee shop overnight.

The stunt, which took place at a home in Oakridge, Alta, was part of a creative campaign to help fill more than 5,000 job openings across the country.

Doug Gunn, director of marketing for Tim Hortons in Western Canada, told cp24.com that crews secretly renovated the home overnight to surprise residents in the morning.

"We knew that it would be kind of a surprise for everyone," he said.

"But we were completely blown away by the amount traffic that we had."
