Two people were in hospital this morning after high readings of carbon monoxide were found in a building in Scarborough's McGregor Park neighbourhood.

Fire crews were called to the building, located near Birchmount Road and Lawrence Avenue, at around 2:30 a.m.

Toronto Fire Capt. Adrian Ratushniak told CP24 that the source of the carbon monoxide has not yet been identified.

The Ministry of Labour and Toronto Public Health have been notified.
