Toronto police have identified the victims of a double homicide that occurred over the weekend in the Queen Street West and Dovercourt Road area.

Abdiweli Abdullahi and Mohamed Abdiwal Dirie, both 26, were found without vital signs at an apartment building at Lisgar and Sudbury streets shortly after 7 a.m. on June 28.

The two Toronto men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the pair in a news release Monday along with photos of the two.

On Sunday police said they are looking for four "dark-skinned men in their mid-twenties” in connection with the killings. One of the men is believed to be east-African with a distinct southern American drawl.

Police are also looking for two cars in connection with the murders. One is a newer model silver compact car with possible damage from fleeing the scene. The second vehicle is a brown compact car.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-1400 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
