PICKERING, Ont. - Two men have been charged in connection with the death of a Pickering, Ont., woman whose body was found in the remains of a residential fire last year.
Police say 42-year-old David Knight and 28-year-old Graham Thomas Macdonald have been charged with first degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and arson in relation with the death of Carmela Knight.
They say David Knight was the husband of Carmela Knight.
The 39-year-old woman died in September last year. Her body was found in the garage of a home.
Police said a post-mortem showed obvious signs of trauma to her body.
