Toronto police say two more suspects have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a downtown restaurant in November.
Mississauga resident Tariq Mohammed, 31, was shot and killed inside Garden Restaurant in the early morning hours of Nov. 14, 2014 in what investigators have described as a robbery gone wrong.
In a news release issued Wednesday, police said that two men were arrested Tuesday at the Toronto South Detention Centre in connection with the case.
Toronto residents Clifton Vassel, 28, and Derek Oppong, 22, have been charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm.
Oppong has also been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and Vassel is facing one count of assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Investigators have already charged two other men in connection with the case.
Havard McKenzie, a 24-year-old Toronto resident, Abdirisak Yusuf Ibrahim, 30, of no fixed address, have also been charged with first-degree murder and robbery.
Police have not said if any more charges are expected in relation to the case.
