Two people are in hospital after two separate stabbings in the city overnight.

The first stabbing happened at an apartment building on Vaughan Road, just north of St. Clair Avenue around 2 a.m.

Police say a man was stabbed after a dispute broke out between two tenants.

The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and is now listed in stable condition.

Police say one suspect is facing a number of charges in the incident.

The second stabbing happened a short time later outside a bar near Bloor Street and Runnymede Road around 2:15 a.m.

Police say the victim was stabbed multiple times in the arm, suffering serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect then fled in a cab.

No arrests have been made, but police say they are reviewing security images from a taxi.
