Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries when they were assaulted during a violent home invasion early Tuesday morning.

The residential robbery occurred at a townhouse complex on Silverstone Drive, near Finch Avenue West and Albion Road, shortly after midnight.

Three suspects forced their way into the home, where they reportedly tied up the victims. According to Toronto police spokesperson Const. Tony Vella, two of the suspects were armed with guns.

The victims apparently were able to free themselves and call 911. One of them was pistol whipped and taken to the hospital with face lacerations, Vella said. The second victim suffered minor injuries.

It is not known if anything was taken from the home.

Toronto police are looking for suspects.
