Halton Regional Police says one of its officers driving an unmarked cruiser was involved in a collision in Oakville late Thursday night.
Police said the collision occurred at the corner of Trafalgar Road and Dundas Street East just before midnight.
A male occupant of the other vehicle involved in the collision, a Volkswagen station wagon, was extricated by firefighters using a Jaws of Life device.
Both the officer and the civilian were taken to Oakville Trafalgar Hospital for treatment. Police tweeted later that both suffered minor injuries.
