Durham Regional Police have identified the man stabbed to death on a residential street in Pickering Thursday morning as 25-year-old Dionecio “Deshane” Nelson of Brampton.

Police said Nelson was leaving a party in a home on Glenanna Road near Huntsmill Drive in the early of the morning Thursday when he was stabbed. Investigators think this may have been a random incident.

Police are looking for two suspects in relation to the incident, which is Durham Region’s first murder of the year.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, with a dark complexion. He’s about six-foot-two, sporting an afro hairstyle.

The second suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, with a light complexion. He’s about five-foot-seven, also sporting an afro hairstyle.

Police believe the two suspects fled northbound from the scene in a four door silver Honda Civic sedan, possibly from years 2002-2008.
