Investigators have released surveillance camera footage of a man who stole a donation box off of the counter of a Woodbridge Dairy Queen last month.

At about 8:20 p.m. on Oct. 25, a man walked into the Dairy Queen at Highway 7 West and Ansley Grove Road and ordered some food, York Regional Police said.

While he was waiting for his order, footage showed that he left the restaurant and returned with a pair of wire cutters.

He was seen cutting the wire that fixed the Sick Kids Foundation donation box to the countertop.

He then grabbed the box and ran out of the store.

The suspect is described as a white male, standing between five-feet-seven inches tall and six-feet. He was last seen wearing a black UFC baseball cap, a black hooded jacket, black track pants and black running shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7441, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
