Here is a list of some of the weather-related closures in place in Toronto and across the GTA.
Child care programs
- All Toronto District School Board facilities, including childcare centres, will be closed Monday due to emergency safety concerns as a result of the ice storm
- All childcare programs that run out of Peel District School Board facilities will be closed Monday, the school board says. All Peel District School Board permits are also cancelled for Monday.
- All Toronto Catholic District School Board facilities and daycare centres will be closed Monday and Tuesday due to power outages

Other
- All permits for the Toronto District School Board have been cancelled for the day.
- York University will be closed through Jan. 2, 2014 due to the ongoing weather situation. Exams scheduled for Dec. 23 will be rescheduled on Jan. 11, the university said in a statement.
