Toronto police say a 50-year-old travel agency owner who was arrested last April on fraud charges now faces a slew of new offences unrelated to her travel agency, including fleeing from police who sought to apprehend her.

Investigators say that the owner of Blue Mountain Travel, located near Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue West, allegedly sold travel services that “were only partially provided, if at all.”

The owner also allegedly used clients’ credit cards to buy travel services “for people unknown to the credit card holder.”

On April 15, 50-year-old Carolyn Michelle Solomon was arrested and charged with two counts of fraud over $5,000.

Since that time, she has also been charged with nine counts of failure to comply with recognizance, two counts of fraud under $5,000, one count of fraud over $5,000 and two counts of false pretenses.

She is also facing charges unrelated to the Blue Mountain Travel agency investigation, which include four counts of fraud over $5,000.

On Oct. 13, investigators say officers from York Regional Police attempted to arrest Solomon in the area of Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West in Vaughan.

Officers allege she fled the scene in a gold-colour Chrysler 200 sedan with the Ontario license plate BZNE 248.

Solomon is now also wanted for dangerous driving, obstructing police and driving while under suspension.

She is known to have used aliases including Michelle Durant, Carolyn Durant, Michelle Miller and Michelle Solomon.

Solomon is strongly urged to turn herself in to police.
