The first long weekend of the summer is finally here and if you are sticking around the city, you won't be disappointed with the weather.

Sunday calls for plenty of sunshine with a high of 24 C and only a 30 per cent chance of rain before morning. The expected low is 12 C.

Monday will bring a risk of thunderstorm late in the afternoon and a high of 27 C.

Here is a look at what's open, what's closed and where you can check out some fireworks on Victoria Day.

Victoria Day fireworks:

  • Canada’s Wonderland: Sunday at 10 p.m.
  • Ashbridges Bay: Monday at 10 p.m.

What's open on Monday, May 18:

  • The Eaton Centre, Hillcrest Mall, Square One, Vaughan Mills and Pacific Mall
  • Movie theatres
  • Most restaurants
  • Parks
  • Tourist attractions including Canada's Wonderland, the Toronto Zoo, Ripley's Aquariam, the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario

What's closed on Monday, May 18:

  • LCBO and Beer Stores
  • Schools
  • Most banks
  • Public libraries
  • Post offices

Road Closures:

Roads in the area bounded by Strachan Avenue, Lakeshore Boulevard, York Street and Wellington Street will be closed at times between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday for the annual Walk with Israel event. The City of Toronto says motorists should use Queen, King or Yonge streets to avoid the area.

Transit:

  • On Sunday, subway service will be suspended on Line 2 between St. George and Pape Stations because of scheduled track repairs.
  • The TTC will be operating on a holiday schedule on Monday
  • GO Transit will be running on a Saturday schedule on Monday
