A woman was taken to hospital via Ornge air ambulance with a severe head injury after a two-vehicle crash in Caledon Wednesday night.
Ontario Provincial Police say they were called to the intersection of Dixie and Old School roads before 6 p.m. Wednesday, for reports of a collision.
Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said one person was taken away in a helicopter with severe head injuries. An official from Ornge says the patient was taken to Sunnybrook Hospital.
Both vehicles were seen in a ditch near the intersection. A woman was seen being loaded onto an Ornge air ambulance nearby.
Police have closed Dixie Road between Mayfield Road and King Street, as well as Old School Road from Bramalea to Heart Lake roads, to assist with the cleanup and investigation.
