A naked woman was taken into custody after she sideswiped several vehicles outside an Oshawa hospital and then struck an officer while fleeing the scene on Wednesday morning.
The incident happened in front of Lakeridge Health Hospital on Simcoe Street at around 9:15 a.m.
Police say that the officer was not injured in the incident.
The woman, meanwhile, was arrested nearby after she lost control of her vehicle and struck a pole on Murray Street.
Police say that the woman was a patient at the hospital and that they are treating the hit-and-run as a medical episode.
It is not clear what charges, if any, the woman will face.
