A 49-year-old woman who was struck by a bus in Etobicoke last week has died in hospital.

Police say the woman was attempting to cross Dundas Street West near Poplar Avenue on the morning of Jan. 28 when she was struck by a private bus that was attempting to make a left turn onto Dundas.

The woman’s injuries were initially classified as non-life threatening, however in a news release on Thursday morning police said that the woman died in hospital earlier this week.

Police have not laid any charges in connection with the collision at this point.
