Toronto police say their latest drug sweep is a success after announcing they arrested 64 people as part of project "Deuce."

Police began a four-week investigation into the sales of drugs in February by uniformed and undercover officers in the Parkdale area after receiving several complaints from local residents.

The 64 people arrested are facing 188 charges for mostly drug and firearm-related offences. Police also say they seized two firearms from alleged drug dealers.

Police also say half of those arrested don't live in the area.

Since several of the arrested individuals were already on probation, and to prevent others from moving into the territory, police say they're launching project "Postcard" as a maintenance program.
