The parents of a missing teenager in Barrie are pleading for area residents to check their properties for signs of the boy.

Brandon Crisp hasn't been seen since last Monday -- Thanksgiving day - after having a fight with his mom and dad.

Late Monday, Brandon's mountain bike was found about four kilometres from his home.

Tuesday afternoon, the 15-year-old's parents along with police issued a statement asking everyone who lives in the area to search their properties for any sign of the boy.

Police say they will continue their ground search in the area of 2nd Line of Oro and Ridge Road, in the community of Shanty Bay, just northeast of Barrie.

His parents say they fought with their son after they banned him from playing a popular video game which they say he was addicted to.

Anyone with information on Brandon's whereabouts should contact Barrie Police at 705-725-7025.
