Woman injured in home invasion in Ajax
A woman has been transported to hospital with serious injuries following a home invasion in Ajax late Friday afternoon.
Durham Regional Police say that the woman was injured after a confrontation with two males inside her home on Mandrake Street around 6 p.m.
A young child was also in the home at the time but was not injured, police say.
Officers are currently canvasing the area for suspects and evidence.
Police do not believe this was a random incident.
No description of the suspects has been released.
