Police are now searching for the girlfriend of a man charged in connection with the weekend shooting death of an innocent woman at a Leslieville bar.

Kyle Weese, 24, has been charged with the second-degree in connection with the shooting death of 23-year-old Bailey Zaveda, who was standing outside an east end bar Saturday morning when a fight broke out and a gun was drawn. Weese is also facing four counts of attempted murder and weapons charges.

Zaveda was shot in the torso and died in the Duke of York Tavern's entranceway. Five other people were also injured including the suspect's brother.

Investigators say they would like to speak with Weese's girlfriend. They believe she was with him in the tavern.

Police say that although they have not publicly identified her, they will release her name if she doesn't come forward.

Weese surrendered to police on Tuesday night after a two-day Canada wide manhunt.
