The QEW's Toronto-bound lanes are blocked in Oakville because of a police investigation.
Ontario Provincial Police closed the eastbound lanes at Dorval Drive at about 12:15 p.m. for an investigation led by Halton Regional Police.
OPP told CP24 the lanes may be blocked for several hours. During that time, eastbound vehicles will be diverted onto Dorval Drive.
In addition to that closure, Trafalgar Road is shut down in both directions between Leighland Avenue and Cross Avenue, Halton Regional Police said.
Detours are in effect, but police are urging motorists to avoid the area, if possible.
