George Lagogianes

George Lagogianes was born in Owen Sound, Ontario.

He toured North America and Europe as a kid with a professional choir. Sports were also a big part of George's childhood and he played on two national championship junior lacrosse teams.

After graduating with a BA from the radio television and film program at Ryerson University, he landed his first job as a personal assistant with CTV Sports at the Calgary Winter Olympics in 1988. He then joined Citytv as a cameraman and videographer Live eye.

George has covered news, music, arts & pop culture events across North & South America, Europe, Asia & Africa. From dog sled races in the high arctic to the Oscar red carpet!

From 1989 to 1995 George co-hosted Electric Circus, reported for MuchNews, and worked as a VJ for MuchMusic. This was followed by anchoring News, and hosting Arts & Minds and Live @ the Rehearsal Hall on Bravo!

George returned to Citytv from 1997-2005 to anchor, and report entertainment news. He then went to CBC daytime to work as a field producer and shooter.

Since 2007, George has been an anchor and remote host on CP24 with 20 years of broadcasting experience.
