The election is less than one week away, but there are still thousands of Canadians who are undecided as to who will get their vote. For a lot of voters, it's an issue of not being sure which party truly aligns with your values.
If you're looking for a quick way to try to figure out the issues that matter the most to you, there is a site online called TheUndecided.ca that could help.
When you arrive on the site, you'll be asked to choose answers that align with your opinions on the following issues (you can change your decisions later on if need be):
- Kyoto
- Health Care
- Sovereignty
- Accountability
- Fuel Economy
- Political Reform
- Families
- Decriminalization
- Defense
- Childcare
- Same Sex Marriage
Each answer is associated with a particular party. When you choose an answer for each issue, you'll also have the option to use a status bar to determine just how important that issue is to you. Upon each change in the status bar for individual issues, you'll notice that the 11 issues are then ranked on the page. On the right-hand side, there is a percentage tally to suggest which party might be right for you on election day.
Although I'm sure that you'll want your vote to depend on more than a five-minute online survey, TheUndecided.ca is a solid place to kick start your decision. Good luck!

Interesting site, thanks for mentioning it! It certainly confirmed that I'm all over the map on the issues, but showed where I end up overall.

@Dave - Glad you like it! I think, with so much news being fired out at us on a daily basis, it's sometimes difficult to concentrate on the issues that are important to us as voters. What I like the most about this site is that it really makes you think about issues vs. parties.

Crazy! The party it told me I am most aligned with is not one I can vote for!

This is lame. Where are the economic issues?
Even before the recent crisis this was a top issue- or more like 5 of the top 10 issues around the country.
This seems .5 of a rear end from the get go.

@David - I'm sure they could easily add an issue or two, or probably more ;).

The site comes up, but is unresponsive when I type my email and postal code.

It's true, Patrick's site really is quite awesome. He's done an amazing job on it!
I also love how as you answer questions the "un" in the title begins to fade out, and once you've answered all of them you're left with "The Decided" — just brilliant!
