If you're looking for the perfect outfit to wear on the eve of one of the biggest elections to take place in the United States, a store on Queen Street West might have your ideal item.

Peach Berserk has been selling hoodies, dresses and scarves with Barack Obama silkscreen prints since the middle of last week.

And predictably, the store's owner says demand has been strong.

"We're pretty well making stuff as quick as we can," Peach Berserk owner and designer Kingi Carpenter tells CP24.COM.

"I like that stuff. I like to mix politics and fashion," says Carpenter, who studied political science at McGill University.

"They're so different but I think they go well together"

While the prices aren't cheap, Carpenter does point out that the items are handmade by sewers working from their Toronto homes -- nothing is mass-produced.

A hoodie sells for $69, a dress for $89 and a scarf for $59. The items are available in many colours.

Carpenter says the politically-laced items have also been getting attention with people south of the border.

"A friend of mine was in New York on the weekend and he said people were stopping him," she says. "Nobody else has them."

The store is located at 507 Queen St. W.
