cp24.com

Drivers are being reminded to be on the lookout for deer at this time of the year following a bizarre accident in Guelph on Sunday.

A car in the city's south end crashed into a deer, sending the animal toward the sidewalk where it struck a jogger.

The pedestrian was not injured but the deer died at the scene. Occupants in the vehicle were also uninjured.

Police say deer are very active as they search for food before winter sets in.
