Getting into York University's law school is now going to be even tougher after a third-year student used a fake degree to get into the program.

A 28-year-old woman used a degree she bought off the internet when she applied to the Osgoode Hall Law School in 2006, the Toronto Star reports.

Quami Frederick now faces a disciplinary hearing and will likely be expelled.

In an email to students, Dean Patrick Monahan says if a student gets entry into the program "improperly," it takes the admission away from a qualified person.

Integrity in the admission procedure to the school is a "paramount of importance," he says.
