Police are looking for two men who fled in an SUV after an attempted jewelry heist at the Malvern Town Centre.
The men entered "Luxe Jewellery," a store in the mall, and smashed a display case shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday night. They were then confronted by a store employee and fled immediately. Police don't yet know whether they made off with any jewelry.
Witnesses said at least one of the men was carrying a gun. They both reported got into a large SUV before taking off from the scene.
One person was injured by the broken glass during the altercation.
The Malvern Town Centre is located at 31 Tapscott Rd., near Neilson Road and Sheppard Avenue in Scarborough.
