New ads that suggesting God might not be real have received approval to be placed on TTC vehicles in Toronto, and aren't expected to come without controversy.

The ads, which have been placed on transit systems around the world, were devised as a response to Christian advertising occasionally placed in public places. They have met with loud protests from religious groups in places including Spain and the United Kingdom.

The Canadian notices are being funded by the "Free-Thought Association of Canada," and read "There is probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life."

The TTC says the ads don't violate any of its rules, but says the decision to approve them could be reviewed if there are complaints.
