Rena Heer

Rena Heer joins CP24 as an Anchor and Remote Host from CTV News British Columbia.

Rena was born and raised in the small town of Clearwater, B.C. and attended Simon Fraser University where she graduated with a B.A. in Communications.

Rena recently relocated to Toronto, and enjoys the energy and buzz of the city and breaking news team at CP24.

Rena got her broadcasting start in 2002 at Channel M, a multicultural television station in Vancouver, were she reached out to the diverse communities of Metro Vancouver as the community relations manager and hosted the cooking series, FUSION FARE. She also served as a writer, researcher and assistant producer on various multicultural television specials.

In 2005, Rena took on the role of Morning Show, Weather Anchor and Traffic Reporter at Global BC.

In 2007, Rena joined CTV and served as the National Weather Anchor for CTV's CANADA AM's western broadcast. She also served as Remote Host and Weather Anchor for the CTV NEWS AT 6.

Heer is committed to various charities and has participated in fundraising activities for the Firefighters' Burn Fund, The United Way, and The Breast Cancer Foundation.
