Remote Host, CP24 Breakfast

Matte Babel joins CP24 as the Remote Host of CP24 Breakfast. Viewers will recognize Babel from his most recent role as MuchMusic VJ and co-host of MuchOnDemand.

In late 2004, this Torontonian showed up at MuchMusic and convinced the stations executives that he was VJ material.

In the years that followed, Babel built a vast knowledge of popular culture and entertainment and interviewed countless music legends and superstars including Coldplay, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, P.Diddy, Tom Cruise, Kanye West, P!nk, James Blunt and the Olsen Twins and hosted MuchMusic Video Awards from 2004-08.

He is a fashion-conscious shoe addict and sports fan, who played semi-pro football in Austria before breaking into broadcasting.

In 2006 the National Post named him one of Toronto's most eligible bachelors. At the 2008 Gemini Awards, Mattewas voted by viewers as one of the top five Hottest Television Personalities.

Matte is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, where he received a double honours degree in Communications and Sociology with a minor in Business. Babel frequently talks to highschool students about the importance of an education.
