Spring is in the air on the first full day of March break, as the annual getaway continues.

Hoards of travelers are heading off in all directions. An estimated 100,000 passengers passed through Pearson airport on Friday -- making it one of the busiest days of the year.

Today, the crowds are almost as big, as thousands more head out to see family and friends -- or just find a sunny beach. The Bay Street bus terminal is also busy place as bargain-hunting travellers are taking advantage of discounted fares for a chance to take a road trip.

Sunshine and mild temperatures will rule this weekend and there are lots of events happening around the city to keep you busy.

Here's at look at some of the things you can do today to keep the kids busy -- now that school is out for a week.

"High School Musical Two: On Stage", is on at theToronto Centre for the Arts.

The Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival is taking place this weekend at both Bruce's Mill and Kortright Conservation Centres.

The City is holding week-long camps for kids at Toronto's historic museums starting today. For more information on this and other events visit their website.

Black Creek Pioneer Village and the Ontario Science Centre are holding events for families during the break.

For the bigger kids -- you can catch "Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun" at the Scarborough Village Theatre, at 8 p.m. tonight. Also, musician Art Garfunkel plays at Roy Thompson Hall at 8 p.m.

For car enthusiasts the Performance World Custom Car &Truck Show rolls into the International Centre this weekend.

For Sunday, a big highlight of March break is the annual St. Patrick's Day parade.

Thousands of people are expected to take advantage of the spring-like weather to take in the sights and sounds. The parade begins tomorrow at noon at Bloor and St. George Streets. It heads east from there, goes south on Yonge Street, then west on Queen Street -- dispersing at University Avenue.

The parade is expected to take approximately one-and-a-half hours to pass any given point.
