The City of Toronto has a $100, pre-paid Visa card with your name on it, but there's a catch - you have to pretend that you're homeless.

The city is doing a second homeless head count on April 15th and it needs so-called 'decoys' for quality assurance, an article in the Toronto Sun reported Monday.

Participants will be asked to answer several questions and will have to stay in character while pretending they're homeless. The plan is to make sure the head counters are doing a good job.

The last survey done in 2006 found more than 5,000 people live on Toronto streets.

The research is used to find better ways to provide services.

Critics, however, say the money can be better used on social agencies, and the resources could be better spent.
