Traffic/Weather Specialist

Gurdeep Ahluwalia joins CP24 as a member of the most up-to-date weather and traffic team.

Born and raised in Toronto, Gurdeep earned a degree in Mass Media Communications and Sociology at McMaster University. In addition to his studies, he worked as sports editor for the campus newspaper and hosted/produced a sports talk radio show on 93.3 CFMU.

Following positions at TSN, The Score and The Hockey News, Gurdeep began as an on-air personality in 2007 as host of Daytime, a morning show on Rogers TV Peel Region. This soon led him to work at Rogers TV Toronto as host and producer for the Toronto Sports Show and sideline reporter for the Toronto Marlies during the 2008-09 season.

He is a die-hard Toronto sports fan who supports minor hockey at all levels of play. Gurdeep regularly participates in the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope and the MS Walk while contributing to the Sick Kids Foundation. Gurdeep also enjoys reading, playing piano, and checking out live music in the city.
