Toronto Song Contest -- Top 10

After receiving 500 civic-minded submissions, the judges of the Toronto Song Contest unveiled ten finalists on Thursday, June 18.
According to the city, entries spanned various genres of music including hip hop, reggae, electronic, R&B, rock, folk, world and metal.
The finalists are:
- Jesse Ketchum Primary Choir: The Toronto Song
- George Axon and Aiden Mason: Love to Live in Toronto
- Matt Hutch: Toronto is my Home
- Shohba: City Glow
- Kevin Watson: A World in One City
- Lynzie Kent: Electrify Toronto
- Lynn Harrison and David Leask: The Toronto We Know
- The Bradleys: One Hundred and Seventy-Five
- Abominal & the Obliques (featuring Notes to Self): T.Ode
- Major Music Productions/Terrance Cross: The City's Alive
Music buffs can check out songs right here on CP24.com and vote for the winner at toronto.ca/vote4songs.
Votes from the public will make up 20 per cent of the final decision, with the rest of the sway going to the celebrity judges.
Judges for the contest include Toronto Mayor David Miller, Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone, CP24 Breakfast co-host Matte Babel, eTalk reporter Traci Melchor and North By Northeast managing director Andy McLean.
The winner will be announced after a performance of all ten songs at the Canadian National Exhibition on Aug. 21 at 7 p.m.
