All westbound lanes of Highway 401 are now open near Yonge Street after a tractor trailer crashed into the guardrail and rolled over early Monday morning, forcing the closure of all express lanes.
The collision spilled about 200 litres of diesel fuel across the highway and crews are working to contain and clean up the oil.
All but one of the express lanes were closed until about 9:30 a.m. as rush hour traffic was snarled on the major highway.
The tractor trailer and the guardrail have significant damage.
The truck driver was not seriously injured in the crash.
