Man found dead in house fire in Hamilton; blaze causes heavy damage to home

HAMILTON, Ont. — Firefighters responding to a house fire in Hamilton have found the body of a man.

Emergency Services were called to the home (on West 5th Street) early this morning.

Firefighters found the man in the basement among the flames and smoke.

The fire apparently started in the basement, and caused about $130,000 damage to the residence.
