Truckers planning protest along major highways

The Canadian Press

TORONTO — Getting in and out of downtown Toronto this morning could be a problem due to a planned protest by truckers.

The Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario is planning a truck and bus convoy along major highways to Queen's Park.

A spokesman says they want to pressure the province to resume driver testing and put an end to the 11-week old strike at DriveTest.

The association says about 50 tractor trailers and buses will be parked of the legislature from 10 a.m. until about noon
