The victim was conscious and breathing with a faint pulse, while he was transported to Sunnybrook hospital, according to Toronto Emergency Medical Services.

He is believed to be in his twenties and is expected to survive.

Several male teenagers were seen running from the scene towards an arena on Eglinton Avenue East.

One person was arrested shortly after the shooting, while another was taken into custody about 45 minutes later at Kennedy subway station. A firearm has also been recovered.
