Toronto police have identified the body found in the rubble of a weekend fire to be that of missing woman Marie Speck.

The 50-year-old was a resident of 1079 Bathurst Street and was credited for waking up several residents and alerting them to the fire on Saturday morning.

Her body was discovered on Tuesday and she was pronounced dead at the scene. All other occupants were not injured in the three-alarm fire, that destroyed the building.

A post-mortem on the body is scheduled for today.
