CP24 has become the first local television station in Toronto with an innovative mobile web service.

Launched Tuesday morning, the new mobile platform provides breaking news and the exclusive “Beat the Traffic” system which gives users travel times that rate the worst to best routes.

The system gives users access to the latest weather, sports and entertainment on their personal mobile devices such as iPhones, Blackberries and many other cell phones.

CP24’s Vice President and General Manager Bob McLaughlin says this unique service puts news at viewer’s fingertips.

”Users can now be their own weather and traffic specialists”, he says.

With innovative technology, CP24 Mobile also allows users to personalize the information that is important to them.
