Police are continuing their search of the Ingram garbage transfer site today as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Mariam Makhniashvili.

Const. Wendy Drummond says officers are back at the transfer station they searched last week, and are not looking for anything “specific.”

Police are also interviewing all students at Mariam's school - Forest Hill Collegiate - during a “thorough” process, police say.

Const. Tony Vella says investigators want to do quick face-to-face interviews as the search for the missing 18-year-old continues.

The girl was last seen Sept. 14. Mariam has turned 18 years old since she vanished.

Police are continuing their door-to-door canvass of nearly 6,000 residences near Mariam's home, Drummond says.

The girl was last seen Sept. 14. Mariam has turned 18 years old since she vanished.

The only solid clue so far in the case is Mariam's backpack, which was discovered with some school books in a parking lot on Oct. 8.

On Oct. 27, police seized several computers from two libraries to examine who the girl contacted and what websites she visited.

Mariam's parents have said it's unlikely she ran away since she left home with no money, no passport and no extra clothes.
