The TTC's experiment on crowd control at the Bloor Street subway station is becoming a permanent fixture.

The TTC is keeping temporary barriers on the southbound platform and extra staff on the platforms to help direct riders on and off the trains during the morning rush.

The two-week trial was a success with the transit commission being able to move more riders in the morning and roll more trains through the station.

Managers say they'll be able to cut down on platform staff once people get used to the system.
