Police say 18-year-old Sheronnie Thomas has turned himself in to police in connection with the fatal shooting of a teen in the Keele and Eglinton area early Monday morning.

Devonte Gondwe-Prosper, 15, was shot early Monday when he answered a knock at his apartment door.

Police say the victim may have had an argument with his alleged killer.

Police say Thomas turned himself in just before 6 p.m.

Toronto police's Guns and Gangs Task Force and the Emergency Task Force raided a home in the area Monday night, but someone escaped from the home's back door and was not caught.

The canine unit and York Regional Police helicopter were used in the search.

Gondwe-Prosper was shot point-blank when he answered a knock at his door at about 2 a.m. on Monday. He was found outside the entrance to an apartment above DJ Records and Clothing on Eglinton Avenue West, near Keele Street.
