A TTC driver will likely have chemical burns on his arms and on one side of his head after a man shot a roman candle into a bus early Tuesday morning.

Police say the bus was near Driftwood Avenue and Yorkwood Gates when the driver opened the bus doors expecting to pick up a passenger. Instead, the suspect shot a roman candle firework in to the coach.

The driver sustained no visible injuries but felt a slight burning and tingling sensation. He was able to finish his route.

The suspect is described as male, black, about five-foot-seven, 155 pounds, 17 to 19 years of age wearing a dark black or blue hoodie and dark pants.

Police say they are reviewing usable security footage from the bus.
