Toronto's next mayor should get a 9.4 per cent raise, according to a report in the Globe and Mail yesterday.

A consultant's report suggests the mayor's annual pay should be bumped up about $16,000 to $183,600.

The report recommends no change for how much councillors are paid – a salary of $99,620 a year.

In the Globe story, the mayors of Mississauga, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton and Montreal reportedly all make more money than their counterpart in Toronto.
