York Regional Police are searching for two sets of suspects after four bank robberies in one day in the area.

A TD bank at 8601 Warden Ave. was the first to be hit on Friday morning at 8:15 a.m. Police say two black men made off with some cash after indicating they had a gun.

Forty minutes later, suspects matching the same description hit another TD branch at 3 Wooten Way N. in Markham.

The suspects are described as in their twenties, wearing dark clothing and baseball caps.

Meanwhile, a different suspect robbed a Bank of Nova Scotia at 9600 Islington Ave. in Vaughan at about 10:45 a.m.

Fifteen minutes later, a suspect matching that description hit a TD bank at 154 Woodbridge Ave.

He is described as a white male in his forties, five foot seven with a medium build. He was wearing glasses, a baseball hat, blue jeans and is believed to be driving a black pick-up truck.

A black handgun was seen tucked into the suspect's waistband.
