The Burnamthorpe Collegiate Adult Learning Centre in Etobicoke was briefly placed under hold and secure after shots were fired at a bus shelter outside the school today.

Police were called to the scene at 2:12 p.m Thursday. Upon arrival they found several shell casings on the ground.

There are no reports of any injuries.

According to Const. Wendy Drummond the incident may have been a drive by shooting.

Police have not yet identified any suspects.

Nearby West Junior School was also placed under hold and secure as a precaution. Both orders were lifted shortly before 4 p.m.
