Motorcyclist killed on Highway 9
A 50-year-old woman is dead after her motorcycle collided head on with a mini van today.
The accident happened shortly after 4 p.m. on Highway 9 near Schomberg.
The woman was transported to hospital, but succumbed to her injuries.
Police are investigating.
Mississauga teenager thrown from motorcycle
A teenage girl is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was thrown from a motorcycle in Mississauga Saturday night.
The accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. on Mississauga Road south of Dundas Street.
Peel Regional Police say the teen lost control of the motorcycle, hit a guard rail and was thrown into a ravine.
Her name has not been released.
Man steals taxi at gunpoint.
Police are investigating after a man with a gun ordered a taxi driver out of his vehicle and sped off early Sunday morning.
The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m. near Eglinton and Danforth Avenue in Scarborough.
The taxi was found abandoned near Sheppard Avenue and Rouge River Drive a few hours later.
Police are looking for a black male in his early 20s.
He was wearing a baseball cap.
