A 20-year-old man is dead after losing control of his motorcycle and landing in a sideroad ditch on Keele Street Thursday afternoon.
The motocycle veered off the road just before 2 p.m., according to York Regional police.
The man, whose identity has not been publicly released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were alerted to the accident by several passing motorists who spotted the man laying in the ditch.
The road will be closed for several hours between Davis Drive West (Hwy. 9) and 19th Avenue while police reconstruct the scene.
